Starlight Sleep Sack and Romper (Goober Pea Designs)

The Starlight Sleep Sack and Romper is designed for warm summer nights and lazy days, with a lined bodice for breathable knit fabrics and an unlined bottom portion to keep your little one cool but still covered at night.

Style Options:

• Lined bodice with shoulder snaps - plain or crossover style
• Unlined sleep sack or cuffed romper bottom
• Optional snap opening at the bottom of the sleep sack, for easy diaper changes
• Optional gathering at chest seam
• Extra room built into the sizing for longer wear - the long cuffs are designed to fold up at first, then fold down as the child grows

Difficulty Level: Confident beginner - video clips are included for several steps.

Recommended Fabric: The bodice of this pattern (as well as the cuffs on the romper) is drafted for knit jersey fabric with minimum 50% stretch and good recovery. The lower portion can also be made with knit fabric, or the gathered version can be made with wovens. The romper bottom works especially well with lightweight fabrics such as light jersey, waffle knit, liverpool/bullet; or for the gathered version double gauze, bamboo woven, rayon challis, cotton lawn, etc.
