Description

The Quadra is a semi-fitted jacket with great colour blocking options. It can be made lined or unlined, with a hood or a collar. Size range 0-3m to 20 youth.

  • Basic or color blocked body with zipper closure
  • Basic or color blocked sleeves
  • Three piece hood OR stand collar OR hood/collar combo
  • Inseam pockets for the basic version
  • Slanted pockets for the color blocked version
  • Straight or flared fit
  • Lined or unlined with facings
  • Optional piping detail

Difficulty Level: Confident Beginner to Intermediate. The only step considered intermediate is finishing the collar on the unlined version of the jacket. There is a video tutorial provided for the zipper installation.

Recommended Fabric:

  • For the unlined version we recommend thick fabrics with low stretch, such as softshell, quilted cotton, bonded fleece, and heavy sweater knits or fleece.
  • For the lined version we recommend light to medium weight wovens (such as cotton woven, flannel, boiled wool, denim, twill, corduroy, PUL, etc), and/or medium to heavy weight stable knits (such as french terry, fleece, sweater knit, minky/chenille, etc)

Print Options: Letter/A4, and A0 (copy shop) - both with layers

Seam Allowance: 1/4" (6mm) included

Pattern Piece Features:

  • Size layers – choose which sizes to print and save your ink
  • Prints on both letter and A4 sized paper
  • Pages can be assembled either by trimming your pages, or overlapping them (trimless method)
  • All important info provided on pattern pieces for easy reference (seam allowance, grain line, size labels, cutting instructions, pattern name, top and bottom for directional prints, etc.)
  • Optional rectangular pieces to print (cut dimensions also provided in tutorial)
  • An A0 file is provided for those who prefer to print at a copy shop on blueprint sized paper, with no page assembly required
  • A projector file is provided, for those who are set up with a projector calibrated for use in pattern tracing or cutting
