The Mabel Top & Dress is a collaboration between Goober Pea Designs and Buttons & Blueprints. It combines the relaxed fit of the BnB Elemental Tee with the styling of the kids Mabel Top & Dress by Goober Pea Designs. Perfect for matching parent and child outfits! Choose between an easy sleeveless style or a dramatic puffed sleeve, with a circle or handkerchief skirt in top, tunic, or dress length.
If you'd prefer a tee style sleeve, you can put the sleeves from the BnB Elemental Tee (free with newsletter subscription to Buttons & Blueprints) onto the bodice, as it has the same armscye.
This pattern also includes an optional FBA (full bust adjustment) front piece, for those who need it.
PATTERN INFORMATION
Difficulty Level: Confident Beginner
Recommended Fabric: Knit fabric with minimum 50% stretch and excellent stretch recovery. For the puffed sleeve version, recommended fabrics are light to medium weight structured knits such as scuba, cotton spandex, liverpool/bullet, light ponte, athletic knit, jacquard, etc. Fusible interfacing is recommended on the puffed sleeves to help them hold their shape. The sleeveless version can be made in structured or drapey knits, but sizing down is recommended for high stretch fabric.
