I'm Kelly (she/her) and I am a mom, nurse, yoga enthusiast and sewist from the west coast of Canada.
I have been sewing off and on since I was about 9 years old, and really got back into it after the birth of my son. I am much more a creative sewist than a technical one, and I love to try new things, mash patterns, and create whatever I envision. I love working with both knits and woven fabrics, and find switching back and forth between them always keeps things fresh.
I sew mainly for my son and for myself, but I love to make gifts and of course sew a wide variety of things.

Finn Shirt & Sweater by Fab For You Patterns
I used the front pocket option for this version: the pattern piece for the pocket is included and information on how to add it is in the "tips" section of the tutorial. I love that this pattern includes some tips to add to the shirt and make it what you like!

Rogue River Joggers (Kids) by Toby K Patterns
This pattern is very versatile with a ton of options - this pair is straight leg, with reinforced knees and zipper cuffs. I made these with softshell to use as a pair of play pants when the weather is wet. They can go right over another pair of pants and zip up to keep mud out of the shoes!

Hip 2 B Square by Goober Pea Designs
This pattern is definitely one we will be using for a long time (as you can see by the aging of my little guy). The ombre version is a swim top/rash guard while the other is a basic tee with lots of colour blocking. The options in this pattern are endless!

Jammin' Joggers (Adult) by RockerByeDestash Patterns
These are made with an athletic knit giving them a bit more of a fitted silhouette with all of the comfort of a relaxed jogger. The pockets are big which is always great! I love built in options to get creative with colour blocking, too.

SFE by Eunoia Designs
This pattern has great options as well as a good size range - I made this long sleeve crew neck with a thick jersey for my dad who is always cold! He says it is very comfortable and loves the relaxed fit option.

I LOVE these briefs! Super comfortable. This pair has the larger waistband for the higher rise and a regular liner, made with bamboo.

Lil' Rocker Shorties by RockerByeDestash Patterns
These are super quick to sew up and my kiddo loves them! We will use this pain made in bamboo spandex likely mainly as PJs in warm weather - but the great thing is, they could be used outdoors or even for swimming.

Kodiak Crossover Sweater by Toby K Patterns
I made this Kodiak Crossover for my nephew who is smaller than I am - he wasn't around to model, so I tried it out! Had I made this in my own size, it is important to note, it would be a slightly looser fit.

Chromium Cropped Hoodie by Designs by Call Ajaire
This pattern has a ton of options - it is a lot more than a cropped hoodie! Here it is as a hemmed crew neck tee with short sleeves. The fit is great!

Pixel Puullover (Kids) by Jennuine Designs
This pattern has some great options - the scuba hood is a perfect go to for us, but I love the look of the big cowl with a bulkier fabric, and can't wait to try that too! The saddle shape of the raglan sleeve is really unqiue and the fit in the shouder is great because of it. I think it would be neat to try doing the front and back of the sleeve with different colour/prints to get some creative looks.

This pattern is so much fun! I love that there are so many options to play with and get different colour blocked looks. Perfect for busting your scraps!

Twisted Tank by Titchy Threads
Don't want to stripe match? The twisted version of this tank has no side seams, so you don't have to! Thats a win in my books

Hedgehog Hoodie by Tie Dye Diva
This pattern can be made with wovens or knits (I used FT and waffle), and is reversible! The zipper is much easier to insert that one would guess too - but directions for snap/button closures are included as well.

Hemlock Hoodie (Adult Curvy Fit) by Buttons and Bibs
I used athletic knit and opted for a neck band and tunic length for this top. I love the length and the wide hem band.

Rocky Mountain Slipper Boots by Goober Pea Designs
These boots were a perfect addition to my son's holiday PJs set this year. This pattern comes in a ton of sizes and also offers great information on grading for calf/ankle fit, and has narrow and wide soles. Perfect for scrap busting too if you're sewing for a little one!

This oversized, lose, comfortable V neck is amazing. Quick and easy to make, and can be styled differently to dress it up, or keep it relaxed. Definitely a staple piece!
