Hi, I'm Daisy! I’m just an AfroLatina trying to make it in the American South.

I went to school for textile and apparel management, but life took me out of school and into retail work for years. I'd sew projects, mainly home décor here and there. Then Covid hit the world and my servant heart plunged into making masks to donate to hospitals. In my search for elastic during the shortages, I joined a few facebook pattern and fabric groups and reignited my passion for fashion! And it was perfectly timed, because I had worked as a nonprofit truck driver for the past 7 years with a team of dudes, meaning I had no cool clothes, hadnt shopped for clothes in years and most of my underwear was frayed.

I have been making up for lost time, sewing about 6 pieces a week, getting better and faster. So much so, that I am hoping to start a fundraiser soon for a serger so that I could make bras, accessories and activewear to sell and support myself as I honor my dreams and talents! Anyhoo, enjoy and be inspired as I share my personal sews with you!
