WHAT WE WILL COVER

  • How to Choose the Right Stretch Fabric for Your Projects
  • Supplies to Use with Different Stretch Fabrics and Scenarios
  • Settings for Your Sewing Machine
  • Best Stitches to Use for Seams, Hems, and Topstitching
  • How to Use a Twin Needle
  • How to Sew Bands, Cuffs, and Binding
  • BONUS OPTIONAL LESSON - How to Use a Serger

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Sewing Machine - any kind will do, except a straight stitch machine that has no zig zag option or other stitch types
  • Stretch Needles (Ballpoint needles work ok for many stretchy fabrics as well - but stretch is a better choice for any fabric with spandex in it)
  • Fabric Scraps - cut up an old t-shirt if you don't have any stretchy fabric scraps!
  • OPTIONAL: Walking foot or knit foot (strongly recommended if your machine does not have an option to adjust your presser foot pressure, OR a built in even-feed feature
  • OPTIONAL: Serger - you definitely DON'T need one, but they do make sewing knit seams easier and faster
